With most of us spending our time at home due to COVID-19, it's good to know how you can still connect with the community or seek support if you're needing help. This page will provide information about groups that are meeting online and community services that are continuing to operate. We'll also include links to other resources that you might find helpful!
The Queer Society have established an online space with chat rooms, video games, online events and more!
Catalyst Foundation have moved several of their events online, including their book group. Email [email protected] for more info.
The COTA SA Rainbow Hub is still meeting online via Zoom so that older LGBTI people can remain connected. Email [email protected] for more.
Trans Pride Australia are hosting a range of digital hangouts every Wednesday to Sunday. All details available on their Facebook page.
A special mental health support line established in response to COVID-19. Call 1800 632 753 between 8am and 8pm to talk to a counsellor.
Q Life is a LGBTIQA+ specific phone and online chat service operated by members of the community. Available 3-12pm daily.
A crisis hotline available 24/7 on 13 11 14. Also available as a web chat and via text in the evening. See website for more information.
The Lived Experience Telephone Support Service is available via phone/web from 5pm - 11:30pm daily. Staff have mental health lived experience.
All staff at this new COVID-19 support line have mental health lived experience. Available on 1800 02 2020 from 5-11:30pm daily.
RASA have established ASKPEACE, a phone service to provide COVID-19 related support to culturally diverse communities. Call 8245 8110.
ACON have just released a new online resource for trans & gender diverse people: Trans Hub. Included is a page with info about COVID-19.
